Discovery and Getting in the Saddle

Arrival the previous evening in the late afternoon, dinner at the gîte.

After breakfast, welcome at the equestrian center and introduction to the horses and the staff. Prepare your mount, then ride in the arena to get acquainted with your horse. Horse changes are possible if needed.

Departure for a three-day horseback riding tour, returning to the base on the last day.

This first leg of the tour takes you to discover the Landes coastline and its spectacular dune landscape. From the highest points at 150 meters altitude, located just one kilometer from the ocean, enjoy breathtaking views of the vast Landes forest. A 1.5-hour ride on the beach allows you to ride on the fine sand and test your mount with individual or paired canters.

Lunch in the heart of nature, followed by a siesta. The afternoon resumes through the varied landscapes of the Landes forest and its waterways.

Immersion in the Landes Region

This day of horseback riding takes you deep into the heart of the Landes region, far from the beaten track. Discover the endemic Landes forest, a true journey back in time on horseback, as it existed before the maritime pine plantations. Explore wild waterways and protected areas where nature reigns supreme. Ride through traditional Landes villages with their characteristic architecture and authentic farmsteads, testaments to the rural heritage.

Numerous individual canters punctuate this dynamic day of riding.

Enjoy a meal in the heart of nature amidst unspoiled landscapes.

The afternoon continues with the discovery of new horizons between dense forest and clearings, alternating between trotting and long canters on forest trails.

Return to the gîte at the end of the day.

Return via the beach

The final day of this horseback riding tour in the Landes region. We set off on horseback to return to the coastal area. We cross the forest with its surprising hills and ridges offering magnificent panoramic views. We progress at a brisk canter to reach our final destination: the Atlantic beach. A second 1.5-hour stretch on the fine sand allows us to fully enjoy the wide open spaces by the ocean. We experience exhilarating canters facing the waves in an exceptional natural setting.

We return to the equestrian center on horseback, crossing the beautiful Landes forest one last time. The end of this weekend ride, rich in discoveries and equestrian thrills.
