A two-stage riding course: dressage and show jumping in the morning, and cross-country and cross-country work in the afternoon. The perfect opportunity to combine your passion for horses with a beach holiday. Six full days spent with horses, from 9:00 am to 7:30 pm, with a minimum of four hours in the saddle per day, in small groups of six riders, at Galop 3-4 and Galop 5-6 levels. Galop exams may be considered at the end of the course, depending on the rider’s progress.

Accomodation

Basic accommodation comprises 3* equestrian lodge, an 11×7 m swimming pool, an outdoors lounge and a sheltered dining zone in closest proximity. A dormitory with 1-2 bathrooms that can host 4-6 people, single or double room (a supplement to pay) are provided for this purpose.

Meal

Meals are all prepared by the holiday centre, and taken around the swimming pool of the Gite équestre, or on the beach!

Supervision and security

Our advantage is that we are an establishment with the dual quality  label of French Riding School and Equestrian Tourism Center.

Our cavalry is versatile, trained for work in the arena, preparation for gallops, and of course outdoors, whether in the forest or on the beach.

The supervision of the various activities is provided by a state-certified instructor, director of the center, and qualified teachers. Some also speak English.

Advice

Bomb, whip and safety vest for obstacle sessions in the arena or outside on the Cross.

This is a true advanced training course, with a well-defined program ranging from good intermediate level minimum to experience riders

. During our courses, the 6 children are grouped by level.

One or two outings to the beach are organise during the stay.

Two Different practice, advanced dressage and obstacle training in the morning, and work on varied terrain and Cross in the afternoon.                                                                                     The perfect opportunity to combine a passion for horses and a beach holiday.

Stage perfectionnement obstacle adolescent et adultes

Our young riders will participate in half-day sessions;

– Intensive arena development, both in dressage and jumping, sometimes ending the session with a competitive game or obstacle course depending on the progress made during the morning training.

– Work on varied terrain in the middle of our forest environment and on the Cross course in the afternoon.

 

 Work plan for riders (classic level)

  • Rider positioning in balance at all three gaits on the flat, approaching and landing from fences;

  • Managing the balance of the rider-horse pair during changes of direction, gait, and speed;

  • Approaching different types of obstacles in show jumping and cross-country, Oxer _ Vertical – Spa – ditch;

  • Practical application of the communication rules practiced in the arena, and their application on varied terrain and cross-country courses.

  • Practical application in a Derby (a series of 8 to 10 show jumping and cross-country obstacles) at the end of the course.

STRENGTHS:– The last day of the course ends with a DERBY. – The beach will be on the program once or twice during the stay with individual progress at the three gaits.

Training plan for level 5 and above (intensive level)

Acquisition of a harmonious riding style where dressage remains essential for the proper use of the show jumping horse, respecting the horse and the laws of balance.

  • Discovery and in-depth study of equine mechanics

  • Suppleness exercises, lateral movements, shoulder-in and haunches-in

  • Approaching obstacles according to the different trajectories leading to landing on a specific lead

  • Protocol for first straight jumps and oxers, jumping combinations

  • Introduction to flying changes according to the group’s level

  • Practical application in a Derby (a series of 8 to 10 show jumping and cross-country obstacles) at the end of the course.
