Day of horseback riding between Mimizan and Bias.

Discover the Landes coastline with sweeping views of the forest and the Atlantic Ocean. Ride south along the beach, enjoying individual or paired canters. Take a break at the Bias pond where the horses graze freely. Explore the natural dunes with their surprising topography, lagoons, and marshes. Ride along the Mimizan stream to its mouth. End the day with a sunset ride on the beach before returning to the equestrian center.

Duration: 1 day, lunch included

Participants' ages: 15 to 77 years old, minimum age 13 if accompanied and with a minimum riding level of Galop 3.

Required riding level: Comfortable at all three gaits, minimum canter level 3/4

Group size: Maximum 8 people, minimum 3 riders. Possibility of forming two groups according to skill level.

Supervision and safety: The tour is led by qualified guides with extensive knowledge of the Landes , who are eager to share their expertise with you. They also speak English.

Discovering the coastline

Meet at the equestrian center. Welcome, introduction to the facilities and the team. After preparing your horse, a ride in the arena to get acquainted with your mount. Horse changes are possible if needed.

Departure for a 2 to 3 hour horseback ride to discover the Landes coastline with a wide view of the forest and the Atlantic Ocean in the background.

After a short ride to get a feel for your companion's temperament, we'll head to a secluded beach far from civilization. We'll then ride south, taking our time to breathe in the salty air and the endless open spaces. We'll enjoy individual or paired canters. Finally, we'll return through the forest towards the Seguedey stream and then the Bias pond.

Dunes and sunset

Horseback riding resumes depending on the tide and time of year. The horses are prepared for a 2-3 hour ride. We ride along the Sintias lagoon and then to theTirelagüe pond, where we stop to water the horses. We continue through the vast forest with its wild and lush vegetation, amidst natural dunes offering unexpected dramatic landscapes. We then proceed towards the banks of the Mimizan and its mouth. The ride concludes with a stroll along the beach at sunset, weather permitting.

Return to the equestrian center. Arrival time varies depending on the time of year and the length of the days.

Transfer to the gîte for those staying the next day.

What can I say, just perfect! Our daughter came back thrilled! The teenagers were very well looked after. The English teacher and riding instructor were top-notch. A small group of 5 girls with great camaraderie. And above all, they're already looking forward to coming back next year! 😅

I've just returned from my second horseback riding trip with this center. Everything was perfect! The horses, the scenery, the atmosphere, the meals... There's even a pool and a sauna to relax in after the five hours of riding. Michel has his own unique way of doing horseback riding; each horse, and therefore each rider, must be independent. We never canter one behind the other; we can all take turns leading. It's so great that it's going to be hard to go on rides anywhere else after this. I haven't tried it, but I know they also offer outdoor riding courses for beginners. In one week (four hours a day), Anne teaches you to be comfortable at all three gaits, and you're able to canter on the beach on the last day! A thousand thanks to Anne, Michel, Amandine, and Yoann for their hospitality and for giving me such a wonderful week.

A wonderful week of riding in the forest and on the beach! Anne, Michel, and Yohan allowed us to discover their region with the help of their lovely horses. The horses are hardy and responsive to their riders. The gîte is very pleasant, and the pool and sauna were much appreciated after a day in the saddle. Thank you to the whole team!

I had a fantastic week at this equestrian center. The Derby Cross clinic was brilliant with a superb coach! The horses are out in the paddock 24/7! The accommodation is really great and clean too. A huge thank you to Amandine who cooked us amazing meals throughout the week. I highly recommend it! We'll be back next year!

Arrived as a beginner (6 lessons in UK) and left feeling confident to enjoy the canter along the beach. Ann is a great instructor - explaining how the methods relate to horse behavior and psyche. The horses are all well natured and happy. I was apprehensive about not being able to keep up with others, but the teaching style is patient and I was lucky to be in a group of kind and supportive people. The beach ride is bliss!

This was my second visit here, had the best time... Horse was amazing "Jango". The rides were good too. Unfortunately there was a heat wave but the team improvised well and horses and riders were looked after. I totally recommend this equestrian center.. Thanks Michelle and Anna..
